1. When injecting a colour into your outfit, balance it with one other piece of the same colour. Could be a rosette, obi belt, petticoat or even your lipstick

2. Hard time matching shoes to your outfit? Get your shoes dyed. They will match the colour of your outfit perfectly to give you that polished finish. Synthetic shoes seem to dye best.

3. Sleeve length is important. Bigger bust? Choose a sleeve length higher or lower than your bust line. Smaller bust? Choose the same line as your bust to maximise, or at your waist to emphasise your narrowest part.

The boutique makeup house opened at Birds of a Feather in Hamilton last week. Birds caters to all offering Annah Stretton fashion, Phoenix Makeup, Bite Me cupcakes & coffee and Minx Shoes. Christchurch opened at Annah Stretton s new store last Thursday and Palmerston North later in the month. A fourth stand-alone store is opening in Wellington in October.
